Proteomics is the huge scale investigation of proteins.Proteins are indispensable pieces of living life forms, with numerous capacities. The term proteomics was authored in 1997, in relationship to genomics, the investigation of the genome. The word proteome is a portmanteau of protein and genome, and was authored by Marc Wilkins in 1994 while he was a Ph.D. understudy at Macquarie University. Macquarie University likewise established the main devoted proteomics lab in 1995.
