Catalysis and Chemical Engineering

Catalysis describes the outcome of the reaction influenced by the presence of the catalyst which is not consumed during the reaction and that is subsequently removed if it is not to constitute as an impurity in the final product. Chemical engineering is the process of converting raw materials or chemicals into more useful or valuable forms. The advanced chemical engineering involved in the production of new materials and techniques, such as: nanotechnology, fuel cells and biomedical engineering.
