Geriatric
dentistry is the distribution of dental care
to older adults connecting analysis, deterrence, organization and action of
problems related with age related diseases. The mouth is referred to as a
mirror of overall health, supporting that oral health is an essential part of
general health. In the elderly population poor oral
health has been careful a risk factor for general health
problems. Older adults are more vulnerable to oral conditions or diseases due
to a surge in chronic conditions and physical/mental incapacities. Thus, the
elderly form a separate group in terms of delivery of care.
