Epidemiology and Public Health

Public health pharmacy is a rapidly developing field of pharmacy with the involvement of pharmacists in public health. There is a need for pharmacists with the necessary skills and expertise to implement public health standards and management principles in the delivery of pharmaceutical services to enhance the health and well-being of the population of the country. Public health pharmacy is also in line with current local and international efforts to stop the increase of chronic non-communicable diseases and antimicrobial resistance.
