Nanodevices, Nanosensors, and Nanoelectronics

Nanodevices are critical enablers that will allow mankind to exploit the ultimate technological capabilities of electronic, magnetic, mechanical, and biological systems. Nanosensors are nanoscale devices that measure physical quantities and convert those quantities to signals that can be detected and analyzed. Nanoelectronics refer to the use of nanotechnology in electronic components. The term covers a diverse set of devices and materials, with the common characteristic that they are so small that inter-atomic interactions and quantum mechanical properties need to be studied extensively.
