Advanced Drug Delivery Systems

The techniques, formulations, and techniques (route of administration) used to deliver pharmaceuticals for various applications or therapeutic uses are known as drug delivery. Advanced drug delivery systems are technologies that have been developed to control the rate of drug release. Disease, drug and desired effect all play a part in determining the type of technology used. DDS (Advanced Drug Delivery System) offer undeniable advantages in the administration of drugs. Innovative approaches for the development of novel drug delivery carriers have been proposed over the past three decades. It becomes more difficult to design more effective controlled release delivery methods as we learn more about the pathological and physiological causes of disease. DDS technology has proven to be an indisputable interdisciplinary science aimed at advanced health care. In the near future, new high-efficiency macrostructures for DDS are expected to appear.
