Traditional and Alternative Medicine

Acupuncture is a type of alternative medicine and also the key concept of Traditional Chinese Medicine. As the theories and practices used in acupuncture are unique and are not based on the scientific knowledge so, it is named as pseudoscience. In this treatment small needles are inserted into the body of a person at specific points to various depths. Acupuncture is used to treat different kinds of pain such as headaches, blood pressure problems and whooping cough.
