Occupational Industrial Hygiene is the anticipation, evaluation, recognition and controls of environment factors or stresses arising in or from workplace that causing sickness, impaired health and well-being, certain significant discomfort among workers and citizens of community. Industrial Hygienists use environmental monitoring and analytical methods to detect the extent of worker exposure to employ practical controls and other methods to control potential health hazards. Occupational Hygienists work closely with toxicologists for better understanding chemical hazards and to take preventive measures. Occupational Health Policy has been introduced in Industries by Government, Private funding Organisation for benefit and wellbeing of workers.
