Gene therapy is a medical tactic that treats or prevents disease by correcting the underlying Genetic problem. Gene therapy skills allow doctors to treat a disorder by altering a person’s genetic makeup instead of using drugs or treatment center. Gene analysis involves altering the genes inside your body's cells in an struggle to treat or stop disease. A gene can't easily be introduced directly into your cells.

Risks:

Uninvited immune system reaction. Your body's immune system may see the newly familiarized viruses as intruders and spasm them.

Targeting the wrong cells.

Infection caused by the virus.

Possibility of causing a tumor.

There are two different types of gene therapy provisional on which types of cells are treated:

Somatic gene therapy.

Germ line gene therapy.
