Apoptosis of stem cells is thought to be a dynamic process which changes in response to ecological conditions. It is apoptosis that keeps stem cell number in equilibrium between the lost due to differentiation or apoptosis and the grew due to the proliferation. Signal transduction (also known as cell signaling) is the spread of molecular signals from a cell's exterior to its internal. Signals received by cells must be transmitted effectively into the cell to ensure an appropriate reply. This stage is initiated by cell-surface receptors.
