Catalysis and Chemical Engineering

Catalysis and Chemical Engineering: Catalysis involves the use of substances known as catalysts to increase the rate of chemical reactions or direct them towards desired products without being consumed in the overall reaction. Chemical engineering applies scientific and engineering principles to design, control, and improve chemical production processes. This session covers heterogeneous and homogeneous catalysis, catalyst development, reaction kinetics, reactor design, surface chemistry, chemical process modelling, green chemical production, and catalytic applications in energy conversion and industrial manufacturing.
