Unlike materials used mainly for structural support, these materials perform particular functions when exposed to external conditions such as heat, light, pressure, electric fields, or magnetic fields. This session covers smart materials, ferroelectrics, piezoelectrics, semiconductors, magnetic materials, optoelectronic materials, stimuli-responsive systems, and their applications in sensors, energy devices, communication technologies, and advanced electronics.
