The Materials Science 2024  offers a spectacular meeting of creative minds from across the world, all joined by a shared enthusiasm for improving the area of Material Science and Engineering. Biography: 

Prof. Marcin H. Struszczyk, PhD. Eng., graduated in Biotechnology in 1995 at Technological University in Lodz, Poland; PhD degree in Organic Chemistry in 2001 at University Potsdam, Germany; habilitation at Technological University in Lodz, Poland, 2008.

Research Interests: innovative modification of ballistic materials, ballistic composites, risk analysis for personal protections and medical devices, development of new solutions in a range of implantable medical devices and wound dressings, including hemostatic topical agents, design of uniform elements, textile recycling. 20 years experience in chitin, chitosan, and medical device design; leader of several research and development projects supported by national (Polish) and EU sources; since 2008, project leader of 6; coordinator and project manager of 5 projects supported by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF); and partner coordinator of 3 projects supported by UE Commission (the VIIth Framework Program and H2020). Between 2001 – 2008, - member of the board of TRICOMED SA (a manufacturer of textiles and implantable medical devices) responsible for research and development. Director for the Science of the Institute of Security Technologies “MORATEX” (Lodz, Poland) 2008–2016. Since 2016, the Institute of Security Technologies “MORATEX” (Lodz, Poland). 4 medical devices were implemented for commercialization (wound dressing, applicator for implant introduction, two implants of the IIb class—hernia meshes), 2 medical devices during the clinical studies, and 7 medical devices during the pre-clinical studies. Additionally, the five technologies of ballistic protectors were commercialized in 2012 and two textile solutions for the fireguard’s protection were developed in 2017. Co-author of the design and implementation of the mobile isolation and decontamination cabin with the filtering and ventilation unit for biomedical applications for patients with suspected COVID-19 infection. More than 100 science publications (60 indexed by Web of Science portal, 47 monographs chapters), 15 lectures on invitation, more than 35 intellectual property rights, 8 EUIPO Community industrial designs, and 3 trademarks

I am pleased to welcome you to the 9th International Conference on Materials Science and Engineering to be held on April 11-12, 2024, in Rome, Italy.  This will become an annual tradition. Our goal is to ensure that all attendees have a highly informative and enjoyable experience. In order to achieve this goal, we have carefully selected esteemed speakers who are renowned experts in the materials science and engineering field. These experts have dedicated themselves to expanding our knowledge and helping us realize our maximum capabilities. We are very grateful for their participation in this conference!

Our schedule features captivating keynote speakers as well as live and online presentations from a wide range of organizations. Thanks to these experts’ imparting their expertise and insights, which makes this event possible. The schedule provides an overview of the conference program activities. We have intentionally left time between sessions to encourage participation and further discussion. You may also feel free to contact them after the presentations.

Welcome to the “9th International Conference on Materials Science and Engineering”, which will be held in the historical city of Rome – Italy, from April 11th to 12th 2024, under the following theme: Emerging Trends in Material Science Unveiling New Materials and Technologies.

It will be two days of intense immersion in the “world” of materials science and engineering science, with a great opportunity to know and to learn what is being conducted in the development and applications of materials, beyond the possibility to make and to improve the professional network.

A first decision is provided to authors within 15.7 days after submission; acceptance to publication is undertaken in 3.4 days (median values for papers published in this journal in the second half of 2023).
